We had a great turnout for the fishing tournament. The fish were bitting slow on the water today, but we still had some winners. The “Biggest Fish” at 35.1 lbs. was caught by Eddie Marshall. Kevin Dooley caught the most fish with 4. The 1st fish of the morning was caught by Victor Allen Kourth.

| The Great Texas Birding Classic tournament has seen such phenomenal growth each year it will now have two partners co-hosting the event: long time partner Texas Parks and Wildlife and now, the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory. The GTBC is a competitive birdwatching tournament held each April to coincide with the spectacular spring bird migration in Texas. March 23, 24 Plantation Suites hosted the “Go Deep or Don’t Go at All” Deep Sea Fishing Adventure. The prizes for “Most, Biggest, and First Fish” came from Bass Pro Shop in San Antonio. George Cleaveland, our 1st place winner, says “Wow the fishing party was a smash! Good time, good fellowship, good food, and a super good experience!” Overall everyone said the seas were a little rough but they had a great time anyways. The next Adventure is scheduled for June 24 and 25. There will also be another date in September.
