Located on the sparkling Texas shoreline, between mile markers 9 and 14, this wonderful, family friendly event showcases some of the worlds, YES WORLDS top sand scuplture artists and designers. It is promoted as the largest master sand sculpting competition in the United States. Last year there were over 26 professional sculptors with at least that many in attendance for this years event
Also featured at Sandfest will be food booths, arts and crafts exhibits, bands and some of the best people watching in Texas. With over 100,000 people expected to be in attendance, make your plans and reservations early. Once again, it is time for the annual Whooping Crane Festival in Port Aransas, Texas. This year the date is Thursday thru Sunday, February 25 - 28th.
The festival is dedicated to the endangered whooping cranes.
Many activities will be included, such as tours of the ARK, The University of Texas Marine Science photography workshop, field trips, a tour of the New Port Aransas Nature Preserve (at Charlies Pasture), Art Exhibits, crafts, etc.

Bass Pro Shops and Plantation Suites & Conference Center, Port Aransas are teaming up and gearing up for our semi-annual Bass Pro Shop Fishing Tournament/Package. The first one of the year will be held on the weekend of May 21 - 22, 2010. Deep Sea Headquarters will supply a charter for an all day (8 - 10 hour) fishing excursion, which can hold up to 40 people.
The Bass Pro Tournament/Package includes 2 nights lodging at Plantation Suites & Conference Center in our Double Queen Suite for 2, Deep Sea Fishing for 2, Hospitality Goodie Bag upon arrival, Shrimp Boil and Awards Dinner for 2. Additional guests can be added for an additonal fee.
